Akasha - ‘the void’

A slightly different format for this post. What follows is an account of a mini enlightenment event from one of our more experienced practitioners. Feel free to discuss in the comments below or given the nature of such experiences it may be something for private chat so head to the contact page.

‘It happened surprisingly enough whilst scrolling through Instagram, something I do far too much of. It has happened since both with this and other triggers. Before going in to detail it is worth noting for context that I am a natural empath for better or worse and a reasonably experienced energy worker, internal martial arts practitioner and [non-drug using] psychonaut.

This wasn’t some profound communing with the ancestors, the first time was in fact scrolling on to a clickbait type post that rather sweetly showed somebody’s recently deceased father captured on google street view happily tending to his garden. However what it did was create a connection to the deceased (not that individual, maybe the story was fabricated anyway, but that realm in general) that was followed by the generation of a powerful hit of akashic energy. I’m fairly sure it was akashic in nature because of its lack of proximity. It was from unfathomable distance with that sense of infinity experienced with Akasha and came in through the niwan point as would be expected. However it wasn’t thick and slow in the normal way, it was lighter and brighter.

It did cause some anxiety type bodily sensations for the time the energy surrounded me which I haven’t established the reason for yet. The biggest take away was a bit more assurance around the universal order, it seems apparent that life does come from and return to the void. That enabled me to differentiate between working with akasha and working with the divine light which would seem to me, based on my very limited understanding of Buddhism something you would want to pursue seriously if you wanted to be a non-returner in the Buddhist tradition.

After a number of experiences of this type the doors have closed temporarily. Probably not a bad thing as my to do list in the mundane world is huge at the moment. Also this path is not without it’s side effects. I’m often reminded of a review I read on Amazon for the Alan Chapman book; Advanced Magick for Beginners. The review complained that the book came with insufficient warnings about the methods presented. However the cover is a picture of a hand grenade. Caveat emptor!

Any shared experiences or just verification of sanity :-) would be gratefully received.’
